1992 Chevy Cavalier with a 2.2 liter 4-banger and some Blind Melon and Weezer pumping out of the Walmart Jensen 6x9's and passive 8" bass tube. Oh yeah. I was a badass. Sorry, gentlemen, I'm only 27. :act027:
AC/DC had just came out with their Back in Black 8-Track. Lifted '76 Chevy LWB 4X4 two tone, Miller High Life, do I need to go on about my senior year in High School?

I had a tubbed 80' Mercury Capri back then (Mustang clone) with a 351 Windsor motor out of a Mach I. It got 7 mpg in the city and about 9 on the freeway. It was "stupid, adrenaline junky" fast.

I listened to a lot of Led Zepplin back then on the system I had in that car. Sparkomatic speakers and Kraco deck.

Those were the days. :)

'71 Monte Carlo and Def Leppard- On Through The Night, if I can recall correctly.
Pink Floyd and a stock '71 Trans Am 455 H-O with a locked diff.

Proof that Honda's marketing people were right-on about targeting sales of the Ridgeline to 40/50-somethings.......

Except of course, Rak & IanRTL!!;):D

Andy, if you want to factor in my last burnout with my '65 Fury with a 383 HP along with my AM radio playing Hank Williams tunes, it may move that sales group to 45/55!!:)

I like to think of myself as a refined 27. lol! I'm not looking to try to break the sound barrier. I have a wife, a dog, a cat, plenty of friends, and some kids coming in the near future. Needed a vehicle that could accommodate all of that plus haul/tow and give a nice ride on the highway. It was a no-brainer. However, to satisfy my non-everyday needs of quick 0-60 times, I'm gonna wait until said children are out of diapers in about 5-7 years and pick up a weekend runner. I'd love to look into a C-3 Corvette, early 70's muscle car, or even a Pontiac G8 (if I can find one by then). I honestly believe the G8 was the best car Pontiac had produced in a VERY long time. Then the bottom dropped out. :act060:

Mine will do burn outs with ease..all four wheels SMOKING like a forest fire in California! But of course I'm running a Sassoon Stage II Type R Supercharger and a Splint Booster in "NASCAR Nacho" along with a K&N filter. That may be the difference. And I'd be listening to Hawkwind or Eloy.

LOL!! Pink Floyd and a stock '71 Trans Am 455 H-O with a locked diff. Back then, BFGoodrich Comp T/A's cost about $80 a piece. In the end, I wouldn't give up memories of that period for any amount of money!

Rak, engineering backround says NO, don't do it. However, the teenager of the 1970's will not argue with you one bit if you do go thru with it!:act035:
AMEN TO THAT !!:act029:

Now, was that the song of that name off "High 'n Dry", or the album "On Through The Night"? :)

Def Leppard- On Through The Night, if I can recall correctly.

"High 'n' Dry" aka (Saturday Night) was from their titled recording "High n Dry",

also "Let it go" was on that release as well.

On through the night was their first release, but never cut it here in the states.

IMO,,, "High 'n' Dry" was more edgy, punchy and hard hitting= superior to the first release.:act047:

Gack. I had that back asswards...

I was thinking of the song "On Through The Night", which did not appear on the album of the same name, but instead on "High 'n Dry"

But yes, I agree with you - as much as I enjoy the album On Through The Night, High 'n Dry does have a bit more punch to it...
